A typical Monday evening

Well, my friends, I have given into the pressure and decided to start my own blog. As I have found that my life has not been very exciting lately, I've decided to regale you with my top 10 thoughts from last night's episode of the Bachelor (are you surprised??). Here goes...

  1. I would like to keep Chantal’s dog, Boca, for myself. I think Daisy would really like him.
  2. Ashley’s family is VERY perky and I am surprised at the level of perkiness coming from her sister with all the tattoos.
  3. Shawntel’s family is weird. I understand that some one has to do the funeral business but the part where she made Brad lay on the table where she embalms dead people…that was a little much.
  4. Shawntel seemed to be ok with this but I am not – when I tell a guy I love him, I would prefer for his response NOT to be a polite kiss on the hand followed by a nice brotherly hug.
  5. Brad – Emily’s child is named Ricki. Her name is not Little Ricki. You are not Ricky Ricardo, Emily is not Lucille Ball, and this is not the I Love Lucy Show. And yet, every time he says her name he insists on using the word Little before it…even here in his blog in WRITING http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20468032,00.html
  6. Emily calls her daughter Ricki Tick and all that makes me think of is this book. This morning I was singing it along in my head as I got ready. Thank you for that.

  7. I’m relieved that Emily and Brad seemed to actually realize that Ricki wasn’t going to fall in love with Brad right away. From the previews last week it looked like Emily was expecting Ricki to run to Brad with open arms screaming, “Daddy!”
  8. Really Brad? You want to respect Emily by not even kissing her in an entirely different floor of the house? I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t be scarred for life just by seeing her mom kiss some one, but what do I know.
  9. Watching Emily try to make Brad kiss her at the door literally had me cringing and shrinking down into the couch in discomfort. I hope I never find myself trying that hard to make a guy kiss me. Just saying.
  10. By the rose ceremony it was obvious to me who was going home. Hated everything about Chantal’s ensemble, LOVED everything about Emily’s.

  1. Oh how I love this! Chantal looked craaaazy at the rose ceremony. Why did none of the other girls tell her that?! One day we'll be watching together again instead of texting our critiques :)
